Lois Ann Corkery, 77, of Fayette, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at Maple Crest Manor in Fayette, following a sudden illness.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fayette with Rev. James Brokman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Fayette. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Fayette where there will be a 4:00 p.m. Rosary and 6:00 p.m. Scripture Service on Wednesday. Friends may also call for one hour prior to Mass at the church on Thursday.
Lois Ann Corkery, daughter of Harry and Anna Riley Corkery, was born March 12, 1935, at Fayette, Iowa. She graduated from Fayette High School and Upper Iowa University. Lois Ann taught kindergarten for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fayette.
She is survived by two brothers, James (Janis) Corkery of Independence and John (Mrynie) Corkery of Elk River, Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lois Ann was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret Cain; and two brothers, Eugene Corkery and Lowell Corkery.
